TRT EHS Workshop

On November 24, TRT hosted an EHS workshop at the Taicang Enterprise Service Center.
The workshop was led by Mr. Tom Du, a registered safety engineer with 25 years of hands-on experience in EHS management in European and American multinational corporations.
Centered on the concept of ‘loss prevention management’, the workshop systematically covered three core areas: fire prevention, emergency control, and system planning. The course first emphasized ‘life safety above all’, detailing requirements for emergency evacuation route setup, exit signage, emergency lighting, alarm systems, and evacuation drill organization to ensure rapid and safe personnel evacuation during incidents. Regarding fire prevention, it critically analyzed key measures such as hot work permits, electrical equipment safety management (e.g., transformers and distribution cabinets), charging area regulations, lighting risk control, and reducing combustible material accumulation through housekeeping and regular cleaning. For loss prevention control, the course delved into building fire compartmentation, automatic sprinkler and fire alarm systems, fire water supply facilities, and standards for fire extinguisher configuration and maintenance, emphasizing the use of technical means to effectively contain fire spread.
