On November 20, the Taicang Roundtable (TRT) and the Taicang Engineers Association (TCEA) jointly hosted a workshop titled ‘Risk Control in Employee Management by Line Managers’ at the Taicang Enterprise Service Center.
The workshop featured Mr. Liu Xiaogen, Senior Partner at Beijing Longan Law Firm. The workshop centered on focuses on identifying legal risk points and prevention methods throughout the entire employee management process, aiming to enhance line managers' legal awareness and compliance management capabilities. The content was divided into two parts: The first half focused on three key modules—recruitment and hiring, probationary period management, and attendance and leave management. It emphasized practical points such as interview question boundaries, risks of verbal compensation promises, strategies for responding to offer revocations, visualization and documentation of probationary evaluation criteria, applicable working hour systems, and approval rules for various leave types. The second half delves into disciplinary handling and dismissal risk prevention, offering operational guidance for special scenarios including work injury determination, resignation handover, position adjustments, and training compliance. Attorney Liu also systematically explains methods for establishing facts regarding six typical disciplinary violations: theft, unauthorized absences, academic credentials fraud, and others.
This workshop equipped frontline managers in manufacturing enterprises with systematic and practical tools for employment risk prevention. It will help companies enhance the standardization of human resources management while safeguarding employees' legitimate rights and interests.
