Lectures & Students from TUHH & ISEM Visit Taicang
On October 28, a delegation comprising faculty and students from Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and the Institute for Industrial Systems Engineering and Management (ISEM) visited Taicang for a one-day exchange programme.
During the morning session, the delegation visited three representative enterprises in Taicang: Chiron (a globally renowned machine tool manufacturer), TRUMPF (a leader in laser technology), and the SEE Office, which provides services facilitating the needs of foreign nationals. Through on-site tours and technical presentations, participants gained an in-depth understanding of Taicang's advanced equipment manufacturing sector and its international business environment.
At midday, the delegation visited Zorn Company, where they heard about its entrepreneurial journey and localisation experience, followed by discussions on topics including the start-up ecosystem and cross-cultural management.
Subsequently, the delegation toured Anton Fusion (Taicang) Technology Ltd. This company, focused on cutting-edge technology fields, demonstrated Taicang's strong momentum in attracting high-tech projects.
The event concluded with a symposium between the delegation and representatives from TIZ. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on industry-academia-research collaboration, talent recruitment policies, and the development of the Sino-German cooperation park. German representatives highly commended Taicang's comprehensive industrial support systems, open innovation ecosystem, and efficient government services.
