TRT October GM Meeting
On October 27, TRT convened its General Managers' Meeting at member company TRUMPF (China) Co., Ltd.
First, Dr. Yang Gang, President of TRUMPF China, welcomed attendees. Subsequently, Liu Lu, Marketing Manager of TRUMPF (China) Laser Industrial Division, shared insights on laser technology applications. As a global leader in innovative laser applications and markets, she highlighted how the company empowers customers to manufacture exceptional products through superior laser and production solutions.
Next, Mr. Sebastian Wolpert, Head of Business and Management at the Shanghai German School Vocational High School, presented on ‘From Classroom to Workplace: Cultivating Talent Through the FOS Model’. He introduced the school's Fachoberschule (FOS) model, which provides enterprises with a pool of bilingual talent, enhances employer branding, and helps students strengthen their career awareness and cross-cultural competencies. With the rapid growth of FOS enrollment, the school called for greater corporate participation to deepen industry-education integration.
The conference then transitioned to the session ‘From Industry 4.0 to Industrial AI: The Evolution from Iron Man to Magician’, presented by Mr. Steven Gao, CEO of IndustrialMind.ai. Speaker Steven highlighted that AI is evolving from an auxiliary tool into an intelligent agent capable of understanding requirements, generating designs, analyzing root causes, drafting work instructions, and simulating human engineer thinking in quality, equipment, and operational scenarios.
Following the event, Mr. Franz Leleuter, Head of the TRUMPF China Laser Application Center, led attendees on a tour of the facility.
